I just finished witnessing the unveiling of the new statue at SJSU commemorating Tommie Smith and John Carlos' silent protest at the 1968 Olympics. It's so awesome. I can now honestly say that I'm proud to be a student at San Jose State. I had no idea the campus had such a history of student activism.
